Why “River's Leap”?

As a child, growing up in Strabane, Co Tyrone, I spent many an hour with my friend exploring and playing in the nearby fields and along the river bank.  There we built a den overlooking the Mourne River, and named it “Rivers Leap” where we spent endless summer evenings.

Many years later I moved, with my family, to County Clare and bought a house on the River Fergus outside Corofin. Here I revisited those childhood memories and resurrected the name for my current home.

It has always been important to me to reconnect with my “inner child”, and this is one small way of keeping in touch with her.
